iHostSchools was founded in November of 2008 by Gregory Ehlinger, a parent and volunteer who was seeking a way to increase fundraising efforts for his local elementary school. He found that while there are many excellent fundraising programs available to schools, they are not available for comparison in one location, and many programs offer no support after the purchase or enrollment in their particular product.
In the age of technology, many schools are not using all the tools that are available to them. They may have a web site, but no mention of fundraising, no place to simply make a donation or get information about the next community event. Gregory wanted a way to centralize a school's fundraising efforts, putting them online to maximize exposure to the community, and build a true local community portal that provides valuable content to the schools, which drives traffic to the fundraising. Our free websites are built with that purpose in mind.
The programs available through iHostSchools come with the support from the parent companies of the product as well as the full support of iHostSchools. We are not simply selling another product, but forming a partnership where your school will always have someone to turn to for fundraising support.
